Brett Biel originates from upstate New York where he
graduated high School and received a Bachelor Degree in
Civil Engineering. Brett's construction experience began
prior to and continued after receiving Bachelor's degree. He
has been working in the southeastern united states for the
past 15 years and served in the field in all levels
including soil and concrete testing. Brett's field
experience allows a full spectrum of problem solving with
the field personnel, Architects, Engineers and Consulting
Engineers. His partnering with Owners, Subcontractors and
Architects through the years of his career have earned him
integrity in the commercial business.

Steven Blalock and Blalock Building Company are showing their
support for the Ashville Youth Association by sponsoring the
6 yr old Coach Pitch Tball team coached by Head Coach Josh
Strickland and Asst. Coach Keith Cunningham. On the
team is Gracie Cunningham # 22 - daughter of Gail
Cunningham, Administrative Assistant. Blalock Building
Company's sign is located at Field 1 of the Ashville
Industrial Park & Sports Complex.

awarded 14-Screen Theatre in Spanish Fort

Blalock Building Company has been awarded the contract to
build the new 14-Screen Theatre in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
The new 14-screen state-of-the-art stadium seating will be
located in the newly constructed Eastern Shore Center. Construction to begin March 1st, 2008.

Blalock
Building Company was awarded the contract for
Clay-Chalkville High School’s new Athletic Facilities. The
new facilities will include a two-story, 9,300 square foot
field house for the Cougar Athletes. Complete with oversized
lockers, weight training amenities, conference rooms,
coach’s offices and training rooms, the Cougars will have
everything they need to continue their already outstanding
Athletic Program. Also included in the plan are public rest
rooms for the visitor’s side.
This project is very exciting for Steven Blalock because
Clay is his home and he currently has three children
attending Clay schools. In fact, Steven would like to
congratulate his daughter Molly and the rest of the Clay 115
pound football cheerleaders for placing 2nd in the County
Cheerleading Competition held Sunday, November 18, 2007 at
Gardendale Middle School. Great Job!

Completes 14 Screen Theatre in Huntsville

Monaco Pictures brings a new theatre design and experience
to Huntsville, Alabama. The new 14-screen theatre
constructed by Blalock Building Company opened Thursday,
November 15th with a private VIP party. Attached are some
photographs of the event.

presented Merit Award in ABC's Annual Excellence in
Construction Competition

At
the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.'s Annual
Excellence in Construction Awards Presentation, Blalock
Building Company received the Merit Award in the Renovation
Under 2 Million category. The winning project was Blalock
Building Company's new corporate office in Trussville, AL.
The building is a historical renovation for the City of
Trussville providing not only an attractive addition to the
landscape along Highway 11 but also a source of revenue for
the city. Built in 1947, the building was once the "Last
Chance Bar" before entering St. Clair County from Jefferson
County.
Renovations included transforming the exterior appearance to
display clean, simple lines. The interior was re-designed to
be comfortable and efficient for the clients as well as the
employees. All systems are state-of-the-art for monitoring
cost, schedules, and accounting. The award was
presented to Denny Blalock and Barbara Abercrombie
(pictured).

awarded contract for Premier 14-Screen Theatre – Tannehill

Blalock Building Company has been awarded the contract
to build the new 14 screen movie theater located in
Bessemer, Alabama. The new 54,000 square foot theater will
be located in the Colonial Promenade complex along with
Target and other large name anchor tenants. Construction of
the Premier 14-Screen Theatre – Tannehill is set to begin in
early October.

Baptist Church Additions and Renovations,
Springville, Alabama. Davis Architects & Associates
will be the Architect on this project. Construction
is schedule to begin approximately October 2007.
